🛒 Grocery Grace Kits Project

The Grocery Grace Kits project by Raining Cloud Trust aims to support malnourished, poor, and vulnerable families who are unable to afford basic groceries. This initiative ensures households in slums, remote villages, or urban poor zones get access to monthly dry ration packs that can help them cook healthy, balanced meals at home. With this project, we target nutritional security — especially for women-headed homes, widows, families with disabled members, and low-income rural households. The Grocery Grace Kits are distributed monthly with community support, volunteers, and funding partners.

This project is aligned with the “Nutrition” cause under NITI Aayog’s NGO-DARPAN classification, serving public welfare through essential food access.

Our Vision:

A society where no family lives in nutritional poverty and where dignity is not denied by hunger.

Our Objective:
To supply monthly dry grocery kits containing essential food items to 500+ families every year and to promote nutritional well-being through food security and community compassion.

✔️ No Discrimination: Kits are distributed regardless of religion, caste, or background.
✔️ Survey-Based Selection: Families are identified via a home visit or ward recommendation.
✔️ Photo Consent: All beneficiaries are documented with permission to ensure transparency.
✔️ Public Record: Donor reports and monthly photos are uploaded to our website and shared with stakeholders.
✔️ No Duplication: Families are verified before second-time issue to ensure wide coverage.
✔️ Nutritious Focus: Only health-focused and balanced dry groceries are added.
✔️ Sourcing from Local Farmers & Kirana Stores: Where possible, to support local economy.
✔️ Emergency Buffer Stock: 10% extra kits are kept ready for sudden crisis outreach (floods, fire, illness).
